PHOTOS- 2016 Arboretum Visit

As apart of our integrated studies on sustainable environments we attended the Euroa Arboretum last Thursday and spent the morning with Cathy Olive who enlightened us on what makes a ‘healthy habitat’ which will sustain the fauna and flora that live in it.  We went through the wet lands where we discovered little fish, explored the re-vegetation area which features plants that are native to our local area, tested the water to see if it was ‘drinkable’ (which it was) and explored the ponds for water creatures.  Great  fun was had catching tadpoles and looking at their various stages of development.  We also caught some dragonfly nymph’s, which are a sign that the water habitat is healthy, and a few yabbies!!
